Priorities
Local Schools
Our rural schools deserve the resources to help every student thrive, including children who need extra learning or developmental support. Stacy will fight to ensure small districts aren’t left behind and have the staff, training, and funding they need.
Stronger Rural Healthcare
Too many rural families are losing access to care, from maternity services to emergency rooms, as hospitals close and medical staff leave the state. Stacy will work to rebuild rural healthcare and make it possible for qualified doctors and nurses to stay and serve here at home.
Infrastructure that Works
From rough county roads to spotty internet, rural Missouri has been overlooked for too long. Stacy will push for real investment in roads, bridges, and broadband so families, farms, and small businesses can stay connected.

Stacy Bax has spent her life rooted in the values shared across Missouri House District 61. After graduating high school in 2000, she began her career with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and worked there until 2008. She later completed medical transcription coursework and has helped manage the bookkeeping for the two small businesses she and her husband run.
When her oldest son was diagnosed with Autism, Stacy became a stay-at-home mom so she could focus on his care and support her family. As her other children faced learning challenges, she learned firsthand how hard it can be for rural schools to access the resources students need. That experience motivated her to speak up, work with educators, and advocate for better support for all kids in her community.
Stacy has also been active in local efforts to create more inclusive spaces, including helping organize Homecoming and Prom events for students who might not otherwise have had the opportunity. She also served on a park committee that worked to build an accessible playground for local families. Stacy and her husband have been married for almost 20 years and are proud to raise their three children in the district.
My kids grew up in the same schools as yours and I have stood beside you at ball games, school drives, and grocery store aisles. I want to serve the community that raised us.
